Counselling for Depression & Panic Attacks in Farnham
By making changes in thinking, feeling and behaviour in the present it is usually possible to re-shape the future.
Most of us occasionally feel down or sad, but these feelings are usually fleeting and pass within a couple of days. When a person has a depressive disorder it interferes with daily life and normal functioning and causes pain for both the person with the disorder and those around them.
Signs that counselling could help
Does this sound familiar?
If any of these feel familiar, couples counselling can help you find a way through.
✓ Do you feel empty, pessimistic or without hope?
✓ Are you struggling to concentrate or make decisions?
✓ Do you feel isolated from the people around you?
✓ Have you lost interest in things you used to enjoy?
✓ Are you experiencing panic attacks out of nowhere?
✓ Does fear of another panic attack make things worse?
How counselling can help
Understanding
Depression may have an obvious cause such as bereavement or a relationship break-up, or it may have no particular cause at all. Together we’ll work to understand the origin of your feelings.
Panic Attacks
Panic attacks can come on suddenly and with no apparent reason. Counselling will explain what a panic attack is and why it happens — which is the first stage of getting you back in control.
Treatment
Counselling and hypnotherapy can be used to discover and remove the root cause of panic attacks in a straightforward, gentle and safe way, resulting in significant relief or even a permanent cure.
I work with clients from Farnham, Guildford, Camberley, Farnborough, Fleet, Alton, Petersfield, Haslemere, Basingstoke, Aldershot, Bordon and the surrounding areas. Online sessions via Zoom are also available.
